Fango Valley

Ridelu's rooms are named after interesting places near the hotel, such as Vallé du Fango.
The Fango Valley is located in the Balagne, a fertile region often called 'the garden of Corsica', a region of great tourist interest and environmental, geographical and historical importance.
The nearest town is a fishing settlement called Galeria, while Calvi and its famous citadel can be reached within 45 minutes by car.

Since March 1, 1977, the northwestern part of Corsica has been considered a biosphere reserve by UNESCO. The river has its source at the foot of Capu Tafunatu with an altitude of 2556 meters above sea level and flows into the Gulf of Galeria. The torrent is famous for its crystal-clear water, forming natural emerald pools perfect for swimming:

However, this area is inhabited by only about 450 people, and tourism provides it with approximately 1000 tourists per year, who stay in the various establishments on the island, and beyond. Thus, the environmental impact, both for the inhabitants and for the visitors, is quite small, with no consequences for the local nature.
