Image
This is a foundation created by Ridelu in a way for the hotel to be able to give back to the community it belongs to, to have a direct contact with every person, and be able to better understand the impacts its activity has in the surrounding area and the best way to help the ones who need it most. Some of Ridelu Helps' initiatives focus on social responsibility, some on environmental and economical sustainability, and more. Firstly, the hotel hosts several volunteering events throughout the year, with the goal of helping the ones who need it most. An example is the distribution of basic needs items, like groceries and medication, in a way to encourage people to help the community, even the guests staying at the hotel. The volunteers are encouraged to stay in contact with the people they help, to create a routine and break up loneliness. In special times, like the Holy Week and Christmas, when these matters are hightened, the hotel makes and distributes extra meals to the community...

Polyphonic Music

Image
Going back to the origin of the word polyphony, it comes from the Greek, which means “several voices”. This music technique includes several voices that relate to each other in a harmonic way, creating a melody. Interestingly, this was the segment most used by musicians in the late Middle Ages and Renaissance. However, the first songs composed were only developed on a voice, linear and accompanied by a single rhythm. Homophonic music was thus linked for a long time to religious music with only one melody, forming Cantus Firmus and Cantus Gregorian.

Places to Visit in Corsica

The 4th largest Island in the Mediterranean Sea is one of the largest scenic destinations in the world. Given the mixture of cultures, from Roman to French and Italian, Corsicans has a very special personality. With a mountainous interior, magnificent lakes, fresh and dense forests, and crystalline waterfalls, the island is characterized by its coastline, its turquoise water and the villages that carry its origins and traditions. Those who want to visit the island have two ways to get to it: by ferry or by plane. The first, although more conventional, is also cheaper and avoids additional costs when arriving on the island. Given that public transports are a terrible solution for those who visit, and taxis practice high rates, it would also be a great option to rent a car from the airport. The car also turns out to be a great way to get to know the island and begin a road trip with more freedom and availability. Among the various destinations, we will present the ones we consider the be...
